Meet Our Incredible Board of Directors bringing the gift of healing to childhood cancer families

Our Board of Directors

FOUNDER, PRESIDENT

Adriana Lewin, LPC

As a mother to a childhood cancer survivor and two super siblings, and a private practice licensed trauma therapist and Certified EMDR therapist, Adriana experienced the lack of cancer-informed therapists in pursuit of her own therapy. She has personally experienced healing from the experiences tied to childhood cancer and has been able to work with many childhood cancer families at various stages in the journey to help walk alongside them through their healing journey. She wants every family in need of mental health and emotional support to find the therapist they connect with and start finally finding emotional freedom and healing.

VICE PRESIDENT, CO-FOUNDER

Alysia Lewin

With a background as a litigation paralegal, I transitioned to being a stay at home mom where I dedicated my time to raising my family and actively participating in the PTA, including holding a board position. My passion for community service drives me to volunteer and support those in need. I am committed to making a positive impact through my volunteer work and I am always eager to help others. I am inspired by my nephew’s courageous battle as a pediatric cancer survivor. My diverse experiences have shaped my strong dedication to advocacy and service.

CO-VICE PRESIDENT

Jen McKinley

Jen has years of experience in Human Resources and owns a therapy practice with her husband. She has served on several boards, but feels a personal connection to the caregivers faced with medical trauma. She is passionate about the mission of helping families find accessible and cancer-informed therapy.

SECRETARY, CO-FOUNDER

Vanessa Williams

Vanessa is an aunt to a cancer survivor with super siblings and has been a school teacher for more than eleven years. She has a deep personal commitment to improving the emotional and social needs of children in her profession and volunteer work.  Her efforts are driven by a heartfelt desire to make a meaningful difference in pediatric cancer families.

BOARD MEMBER

Mike Bowers

Mike Bowers lives in Van Alstyne Texas with his wife and daughter and has been working in the mortgage industry for the last twenty years. Hope. Cope. Heal. means a lot to him because in 2017 his daughter was diagnosed with Orbital Rhabdomyosarcoma. She went through six months of chemotherapy and six weeks of radiation and has been cancer free since June 2018. In his free time Mike enjoys all things BBQ and grilling and working on his YouTube channel.

BOARD MEMBER

Nicole Lange

Nicole is a full-time working pharmacist, wife, and mother to two children.  She has experienced how cancer can affect families through working in healthcare, as well as through friends and close family members.  She knows first hand that cancer does not discriminate- it affects us all.  She also knows that too many people tend to place self-help low on their priority lists, especially when juggling the healthcare needs of others.  Nicole hopes that if people have better access to the self-help they need, they will utilize it and have lasting benefits beyond getting through the Big C.

BOARD MEMBER

Rosaria Kozar

Rosaria Kozar is a mother of a cancer warrior, a practicing licensed clinical social worker, and podcaster. She has devoted her life’s work to inform, support, and promote hope for those families and children facing childhood cancer.  She has won awards for community service, pushed for legislation change, and raised over $40,000 for the community. Rosaria is eager to be part of Hope. Cope. Heal. due to its mission and the passion for hope for the childhood cancer community.
